groups are compared on the same stage showing the upper class
waltz/dance and the lower class rough-style/dance, where couples of
boys and girls are dancing. The waltz group has the boys wearing tall
top hats, and the girls are wearing long dresses. The rough group has
the boys wearing brim-style caps, pants to the knees that have elastic
at the ends, and the girls are wearing skirts.
What few lyrics I remember are "I've spent a long time, long time,
long time looking for a girl like you,...,take her by hand,...,on a
sunday afternoon". The kids were all singing in chorus on stage.
Any help finding the number/name of this episode would be greatly
appreciated.
The waltz-group boys were also wearing tuxedos. The rough-group boys
were wearing long-sleeved sweaters. Alfalfa was in the show, the girl
he was dancing with was probably in the 'Darla' role.
