The Drummer' follows the final six many years of Wilson's existence, in the 1977 discharge of his solo album 'Pacific Sea Blue' to his dying in 1983. The film has got the blessing from the Wilson family, including Carl B. Wilson and Jennifer Wilson, who'll co-produce. Eckhart will share executive creating credit using the Beach Boys former manager James William Guerico. Filming will start this spring or summer time in California and Georgia. Eckhart's next film, 'I, Frankenstein,' begins production in Feb. So far as his 'Surfin' USA' qualifications, Eckhart spent a while surfing in Hawaii before landing his first film role.
