If my home address already had an account with comcast that wasnt paid, can i open another account with them?

Where I live the people had comcast n then lost their jobs n couldn't
pay bill the service was disconnected n they owe them money.

I called n asked comcast if I can open another account at the same
address in a different name. They told me no, not until the other bill
is paid.
I can't afford to pay their bill so I called time warner cable to see
if they were available in my area n they said no but comcast is. I
explained the situation n the guy said I CAN open another account of
service w comcast at same residence jus ina diff name, which was
contradicting to what the comcast people said in my local office.

So I set everything up and they are coming to hook it up tomorrow. I
was wondering if anyone else has done this? And will it present a
problem tomorrow when they come to give me service?

Do u think it will work or no? I got two diff answers n I jus don't
want to be embarrassed when the guy comes I'd rather jus cancel it n
avoid them setting it up n then not being able to send the signal to
my house ya know. Any advice would help thanks!
